Greetings folks! Well, it has officially happened: after a dozen years of palpable and tantalizing anticipation, I finally landed in the Land of the Rising Sun, home to all sorts of cultural and historical riches that are sure to whet my appetite for the next three months.
However, I’m not in Japan for touristic reasons. Rather, I shall be partaking in an academic project that will fulfill a hefty chunk of my degree at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto with three of my peers. As such, I will mostly be busy this summer and during the first half of the fall, which I fear will eat away at my spare time spent browsing gaming blogs like Destructoid and Kotaku/TAY.
Of course, it’s still early days and I’d really hate to turn my back on the community that has kickstarted my drive to write game design articles, so I’ll do my darnest to keep in touch with y’all to the best of my abilities (even if the time differences mean that I’ll be publishing content at a much later date than usual).
In the meantime, feel free to peruse some of the pictures I took during Days 0 and 1 of my Japanese study tour!
